Available Time Slots

Show when someone can book time with you without revealing your event titles or descriptions. This workflow uses the Google Meet node to subtract Google Calendar's busy periods from a requested window and returns the remaining continuous intervals.

What this workflow does

  1. AvailabilityRequest accepts optional startDate and endDate inputs.
  2. AvailableTimes reads the connected account's primary calendar through Google's free/busy API.
  3. AvailabilityResult returns available intervals, the time zone and the exact query bounds.

Setup

  1. Enable Google Calendar API in your Google Cloud project. Create a Web application OAuth client and register https://your-heym-domain/api/credentials/google-meet/oauth/callback as an authorized redirect URI.
  2. In Heym Credentials, create Google Meet (OAuth2), enter your Client ID and Client Secret, click Connect and grant Calendar events and availability access.
  3. Select that credential on AvailableTimes. Set its Time Zone to your IANA zone, for example Europe/Berlin.
  4. Run with empty inputs for the default window. On November 6, that means the current time on November 6 through December 1 at midnight. Set endDate to an ISO date or datetime for seven days or another range no longer than 60 calendar days.

Output and booking

Each item in $AvailableTimes.available_slots has start and end timestamps. The intervals include nights and weekends; your booking interface should apply working hours and split them into the meeting duration you offer. Busy event titles are off by default. The Google Meet node can optionally include them in busy_slots with Include Busy Event Titles; keep that option off for public availability. This template returns only free intervals, not busy-event titles, descriptions or guest lists.

Use primary for the connected owner's calendar. To read a colleague's availability, set Calendar ID or Email to a calendar the connected account has permission to access. Permission failures return an error instead of treating the calendar as free.

Pair this with Book a Calendar with Me: show these intervals, let a visitor choose a time and collect their email, then submit the selection to that workflow. This template supplies the workflow behind a booking interface; it does not include a hosted booking page. Reading availability does not reserve time.

See the Google Meet node documentation for date limits, scopes and output fields.
