Jira Bug Intake Triage

Turn raw bug reports, support escalations, or QA findings into Jira issues that are ready for an engineering backlog. The workflow keeps the human intake flexible while making the Jira payload consistent.

What this workflow does

  1. BugIntake collects the project key, source, reporter context, and raw bug report
  2. DraftJiraTicket converts the report into a Jira summary, description, priority, and labels
  3. CreateJiraIssue creates a Jira issue in the configured project
  4. JiraTicketReceipt returns the created issue key and drafted triage fields

Use cases

  • Support escalations that should become Jira bugs
  • QA findings from forms, Slack, email, or webhook payloads
  • Product feedback that needs a reproducible engineering ticket

Setup

Create a Jira credential first. Select it on CreateJiraIssue, then set the default project key in BugIntake. Connect an LLM credential on DraftJiraTicket and adjust the triage rubric for your team's severity policy.

Notes

The Jira node supports Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center / Server credentials. Keep the LLM schema strict so the summary, description, priority, and labels stay predictable before the Jira issue is created.
